FAQ

1) What are the tokens in the game?

Each chain has a new token deployed on ChainOnTop (examples: $ARBTOP, $BERATOP, $POLTOP**, etc** ).

  • Players buy and hold these tokens to speculate on their chain’s chance of success.

  • These tokens are deployed as troops to attack or defend Nodes - deployment of these tokens define success in the game

2) Can I buy & hold only 1 token?

No, you can buy any tokens you want; however you can deploy troops only for your selected team

3) Why should I deploy my tokens instead of just holding them?
  • Holding does nothing by itself.

  • Tokens aren’t consumed while “deploying”. They are merely locked from being sold for the epoch. Deploying tokens increases your chain’s chances of winning battles, capturing liquidity and boosting your token’s price.

  • If you just hold and your chain loses, you bleed anyway. Playing is always better than sitting idle.

4) What does deploying tokens mean? Do I lose my tokens if my attack is unsuccessful?

NO, unsuccessful deployments don’t affect your holding! Your tokens are simply locked till the end of the battle - the earlier in the battle you attack, the more Attack Power you generate! At battle end your tokens are unlocked and you can trade them as you wish.

5) What stops big teams from dominating instantly?

The system is designed to keep battles fair and dynamic:

  • Probabilistic outcomes → more troops = higher chance, not guaranteed.

  • Attack a defense powers are calcuated on number of tokens deployed -> More coordinated communities have a better chance to succeed

  • Smaller caps swing harder → liquidity impacts are bigger for underdogs, hence higher upside for degens

  • Timing multipliers → early deployments hit harder than late ones.

Together, these mechanics prevent steamrolls and make both giants and underdogs competitive. Consistency is key - communities that play everyday might be able to outperform larger Marketcap coins in the game that attack/defend sporadically

6) Why would someone play for a smaller team instead of a bigger one?
  • Higher upside potential -Likelier to get a 10x with a smaller team than a big one

    • Smaller teams still have a fighting chance due to the probabilistic system.

    • Liquidity captured by a low-cap token creates bigger price swings than the same inflow to a larger token.

  • This works as a natural comeback mechanic and keeps smaller teams attractive.

7) How do market caps affect the game outcomes?
  • Token attack/defense power is partly based on the liquidity available in the tokens pool.

  • Larger pools = more battle power = higher chance of success.

  • Smaller pools = less raw power, but they react more dramatically to liquidity shifts, keeping the game dynamic.

8) How does the game end, or does it keep running indefinitely?
  • The game ends when all Nodes on the map are captured by one team.

  • Based on simulations, a full Season typically lasts 15–30 days.

  • Seasons can be restarted to give new chains and players a fresh shot.
